This is one of several thousand stones (menhirs) in the alignments near Carnac in France. It was a beautiful evening and the Kodak Gold really adds to the warmth of the shot. I think this might be one for the garden room wall.

There’s a lot of structure and contrast in this shot and I think it might have been an even better shot taken in Black and White film. I’m off on holiday next week to the Gower in Wales and the weather is looking moody. I’ve purchased a couple of rolls of 120 Ilford FP4 and will be aiming to pick out some abstract shots as well as some contrasty landscape scenes.
